I guess I am a once-bitten, twice-shy sort of woman. I'm not in any hurry to get back into a relationship. But some people have asked me about this, and I have done some thinking about what I would like, if I did decide to have a relationship again, so here goes ...

I don't believe anyone is perfect, in fact I believe most people are far from perfect. But there are some things that would be non-negotiable and some preferable, that I would look for in a person I was going to be with.

(I'm going to complete this over a few days as I really think about it)

Non-negotiable:
* Respects me as a person.
* Doesn't screw around, or even full on flirt with people in front of me. (This is part of respect I guess.)
* not abusive in any way.
* Intelligent
* honest
* Has a sense of humour
* Lets me be an individual with my own life
* supports me (in an emotional sense) in my determination to succeed at my life-path
* likes animals and kids (this says a lot about people)
* doesn't just want me for sex (sees me as an object)
* actually likes going out of the house and doing things, as well as having nights in snuggling etc.
* likes snuggling, cuddling, kisses and all the other 'bonus' parts about being in a relationship.
* thinks I'm sexy and beautiful!!!!

Preferable:
* Height! I like men who are taller than me, and I'm 5'9" in old measurements.
* Someone that is fit (doesn't have to be an athlete, but not a slob either)
* someone with similar interests as I have, someone who likes going to the movies and beach and swimming and well - the other things about me that are on this website.
* someone that is computer literate would be nice.
* someone who won't think I'm an idiot for thinking deeply.

Things that just don't matter
* money
* looks (within reason) as I do believe beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
